Your Guide to What Can Go into Our Dumpsters

What You Can Include

We try to be accommodating in what you can place in our dumpsters.

In general, you CAN include any of the following:

  • Construction demolition materials
  • Remodeling items such as drywall, lumber. flooring, cabinetry, and siding
  • Roofing including shingles
  • Appliances (With the exception of refrigerators)
  • Lawn debris including limbs, leaves, plant materials (Stumps may not be acceptable unless they have been through a chipper or are small in size)
  • Housewares
  • Personal items
  • Clothing
  • Furniture
  • Trash

What You Cannot Include

There are some items that we CANNOT take:

  • Hazardous materials of any kind including asbestos, pesticides, contaminated soils, motor oil, automotive fluids and medical waste
  • Car batteries but small alkaline batteries are acceptable
  • Food waste
  • Infectious waste
  • Household cleaners
  • Inks and resins
  • Refrigerators and refrigerants
  • Oil, fuel and propane and tanks they have been stored in
  • Paint cans, lacquers, or wood stains unless the containers are empty and dry
  • Adhesives
  • Railroad ties
  • Industrial drums
  • Tires
  • Large stumps
